Welcome to Skerries Golf Club

Skerries Golf Club, founded in 1905, is a championship 18 hole parkland golf course located approximately six miles east of the Dublin - Belfast M1 Motorway and just twenty minutes North of Dublin Airport. Renowned for its undulating fairways, strategically positioned bunkers, and an abundance of varied and mature trees, it measures 6116 metres from the medal tees and challenges golfers of all abilities with a par of 73 for men and 74 for ladies. Boasting one of the most spectacular finishing holes in Ireland, it also provides magnificent panoramic views of the Irish Sea and coastline extending from the Mountains of Mourne to Howth. Visitors are always welcome and never disappointed with their Skerries golfing experience. Our Course Fly Over presents intending visitors with a superb preview of the golfing treat that awaits.

Captains’ Message

We, Fionnuala and Brian, are very honoured to have been elected Captains of our respective Golf Clubs for 2015 and very much appreciate the good wishes and pledges of support from members for the coming year, which we hope will be a successful and enjoyable golfing year for members and visitors alike.

The greatest asset any Golf Club has is its course and thanks to works carried out in the past and in particular over the last year or so, our course is presenting in excellent condition and has coped well with the ever changing weather conditions. We can hopefully look forward to a year of uninterrupted and enjoyable golf during 2015.

As we are all aware the younger members are the life blood of all Clubs and we in Skerries have been very fortunate throughout the years to have members willingly give of their time to look after our Junior and Juveniles sections. Great strides have been made over these years in the development of their golfing abilities. We offer our thanks to all who have been, and will be, involved in providing these young people with a game for life. Rest assured that the sub- committee looking after our younger members will have our full support.

We extend our thanks and appreciation to all those members who give of their time freely to make Skerries Golf Club the vibrant and successful Club we know it to be.

We have a range of opportunities for visitors, from green fees to open competitions in all categories, and would hope to welcome as many of you as possible throughout the year. You will find our bar and restaurant will extend you a warm welcome and our professional, Bobby Kinsella, will be happy to look after any golfing needs you may have.

Skerries is not just a golf course - we have a wonderful clubhouse with a superb catering facility. We believe that Skerries is a Club first and foremost - a community of people who come together to enjoy a sport we all love. We would encourage all our members to utilise the Clubhouse facilities on a regular basis.

Finally, we look forward to working with our Vice Captains, Pauline and Peter, in the year ahead; we wish all our teams and managers the best of luck in the coming year and wish all our members and friends a very happy and healthy 2015 in golf.
